April 20-24

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to another another week of pajama school! This week we'll learn about our community! I'm sure you're all very excited to go outside again, so lets learn about the different places we can see in our lovely city of Madrid!

Social Science

I have some questions for you, can you answer all of them? Some of them? Lets see...

Now, lets review the autonomous communities of Spain. How many are there? Which autonomous community do we live in? What are some provinces within each autonomous community?

Review the communities of Spain here --->http://serbal.pntic.mec.es/ealg0027/mapasflash.htm

Now, print and complete this worksheet about the autonomous communities of Spain

Now, go ask a parent to borrow their phone. You're going to make a phone call to someone in your family who lives in a different community of Spain. Ask them some questions and complete this worksheet about the phone call

Earth Day! Wednesday, April 22, 2020

What is Earth Day? Why do we celebrate it? HOW do we 'celebrate' the Earth?

Did you know that we all have a 'Mother Earth'?! Here, watch this video, where Mother Earth tells us all about Earth Day, why it's important, and what we can do to celebrate our beautiful planet.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0OwMIlrVwA

Wow! Earth Day is awesome! Here we have a story about the melting of Earth's ice, how can we slow down the melting and save the lovely Polar Bears?!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GqM-U5dCsQ

What a great story! Let's help clean up some rubbish next to a river! Click the words to practice pronunciation, and help the children clean up the rubbish!

Giraffes can't dance! Do you like to dance? Would you like to dance with a GIRAFFE? This may be very difficult, as Giraffes are VERY TALL! Lets read a story about a Giraffe who wants to learn how to dance.
